FLAMENCO AND AFGHANISH PERCUSION

Flamenco traces its roots back to Indian and Afghan influences, among others. The program "Flamenco meets Afghanistan" reunites flamenco with one of its wellsprings. Bettina Castaño is the first flamenco artist to dance an Afghan 7/8-beat in a breathtaking zapateado. Accompanied by the Afghan master of percussion and special guest Hakim Ludin.
